Stanground Sports Football Club beat Park Farm Pumas FC Red U16 9-3 in The Doug Gamble Charity Shield on Sunday.

Stanground Sports FC is one of Peterborough’s largest youth development clubs and Pentesec have been proud shirt sponsors at the club for a number of years.

The match took place in memory of Doug Gamble who had a huge impact in creating the Peterborough Youth Service back in the 1960s.

Since 2006 the fixture has been used as a curtain raiser for the Peterborough area’s new youth football season.

Stanground Sports FC have the honour of being the Shield’s last ever winners, as the award will be retired after this season.

Well done to all of the boys involved, a great achievement to kick off the new season!
